Innovative puppeteer Twist, who is currently at work on The Addams Family musical for Broadway, collaborated with drag artist Arias on the music-filled Arias with a Twist, which played an acclaimed New York run in 2008. The documentary, which explores the history of the pair and their unique collaboration, premiered in February at the Berlin Film Festival. Also set for the Tribeca Film Festival is the documentary "Joan Rivers – A Piece of Work," which traces the career of the 76-year-old Tony Award-nominated comedienne.
Other festival films of note include "Every Day," featuring Liev Schreiber, Helen Hunt, Brian Dennehy, Carla Gugino, Eddie Izzard and Ezra Miller; "Last Play at Shea," tracing the history of the New York stadium with concert footage from Billy Joel and Tony Bennett; "Meet Monica Velour" with Brian Dennehy, Dustin Ingram and Kim Cattrall; and Lawrence Wright's stage play comes to life in "My Trip to Al-Qaeda."
