Arnaz, whose Broadway credits include They're Playing Our Song and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, will celebrate her 40th year in show business July 16-19 at Birdland. Show times are July 16-17 at 7 PM and July 18-19 at 8:30 PM. (There is a $35 cover charge; $50 for orchestra seats). Valarie Pettiford, who received a Tony nomination for her performance in Fosse, will play the famed jazz venue July 21 at 7 PM; there is a $25 cover charge.
The Life's Sam Harris will offer a brand-new show at Birdland July 30-Aug. 2 at 7 PM. Audiences can expect songs from his new CD "Free" (due in mid-July) as well as fan favorites and a discussion of his new network talk show. The evening will feature musical direction by Todd Schroeder. There is a $30 cover charge with $50 orchestra seats.
