While Yasmina Reza's Art is enjoying a successful run in London and is soon to hit Broadway, this French play has just returned to the Parisian stage for a limited engagement of 50 performances.

"Art" (the original French title has quotation marks) will play at the Theatre Hebertot until Feb. 28, directed by Patrice Kerbrat, who already directed the original French production. As in the original production, sets are designed by Edouard Laug, costumes by Pascale Fournier and lights by Laurent Beal.

"Art" had its French premiere at the Comedie des Champs-Elysees on Oct. 28, 1994. The original stars were Fabrice Luchini as Serge, Pierre Arditi as Yvan and Pierre Vaneck as Marc. Vaneck will reprise his role while film stars Jean Rochefort and Jean-Louis Trintignant will step in the production, respectively as Yvan and Serge.

Both Rochefort and Trintignant have impressive film credits. Rochefort recently starred in Academy Award nominated Ridicule. He is also featured in Altman's Ready to Wear. Trintignant's film credits include Kieslowski's Three Colors : Red, Truffaut's Confidentially Yours and Scola's Passione d'Amore (which inspired Sondheim's Passion).
