Yasmina Reza's Art, due to open at New York's Royale Theatre on March 1, has been a favorite of Vienna's theatregoers for quite some time.
In the Theater an der Josefstadt, Art has been part of the repertory since its premiere on April 27, 1996, with no end in sight. Under Frank Arnold's direction, Andre Pohl (Marc), Herbert Foettinger (Serge) and Martin G. Zauner (Yvan) have been brilliant in this "Comedy for three actors".
In London, Art has been one of the hottest tickets in town with its numerous cast changes. It won the Olivier and Evening Standard Award for Best Comedy.
