Eight of Chicago's most noted theater companies--The Second City, Northlight, Organic, Steppenwolf, Goodman, Victory Gardens, and Next theaters--and some big-name Hollywood celebrities--Edward Asner, Tyne Daly, Brian Dennehy, Charles Durning, Dennis Franz, Ayre Gross, Richard Kind and Joe Mantegna--will be featured in this popular radio theatre series, performed and recorded in front of an audience for later broadcoast on WFMT, the oldest of Chicago's two fine arts stations.

Eight of Chicago's most noted theater companies--The Second City, Northlight, Organic, Steppenwolf, Goodman, Victory Gardens, and Next theaters--and some big-name Hollywood celebrities--Edward Asner, Tyne Daly, Brian Dennehy, Charles Durning, Dennis Franz, Ayre Gross, Richard Kind and Joe Mantegna--will be featured in this popular radio theatre series, performed and recorded in front of an audience for later broadcoast on WFMT, the oldest of Chicago's two fine arts stations. Among the plays to be restaged for voices are Bleacher Bums, Studs Terkel's Working, Eugene O'Neill's A Touch of the Poet, Moliere's The School for Wives andFlyovers, a new work by Jeffrey Sweet that opens May 22 at Victory Gardens Theater.
