Sam Roberts will interview the scribe in a segment set to air on the half-hour show, June 16 at 9 PM (ET). Check your local listings.

Weidman penned the book for the Stephen Sondheim musical Pacific Overtures — which is also slated to see Broadway's Studio 54 courtesy of Roundabout Theatre Company and Gorgeous Entertainment Inc. beginning previews Nov. 12 and opening Dec. 2.

Other book credits include Bounce (score by Sondheim), Contact (co-conceived by Susan Stroman), big (score by Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire) and a new book for Cole Porter's Anything Goes (with Timothy Crouse).

Assassins took home Tony prizes for actor Michael Cerveris, director Joe Mantello, orchestrator Michael Starobin, the lighting team of Peggy Eisenhauer and Jules Fisher as well as the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical.
