News At This Performance Anniversary Celebration to Feature Dacal, Moye, Lamon and Zaks At This Performance, the ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway standbys and understudies, will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a concert Oct. 20 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre.

Presented by Musicals Tonight!, the 8 PM concert will be hosted by producing artistic director and casting director Stephen DeAngelis with musical direction and accompaniment by Philip Kirchman. The At This Performance series, according to press notes, "allows performers to showcase their versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences."

Among the performers scheduled to entertain on Oct. 20 are Summer Broyhill (understudy for the roles of Velma Von Tussel and Female Authority Figure in Hairspray), Janet Dacal (understudy for the roles of Nina and Vanessa in In the Heights), Kevin Meaney (understudy for the roles of Edna Turnblad and Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray), James Moye (understudy for the roles of Sydney Carton, Ernest Defarge and Marquis St. Evremonde in A Tale of Two Cities), David Ryan Smith (standby for the role of Narrator in Passing Strange), Jesse Swenson (understudy for the roles of Melchior, Otto, Georg and Hanschen in Spring Awakening) and Emma Zaks (understudy for the role of Dainty June in the Broadway revival of Gypsy).

Special guests will include Melinda Wakefield Alberty, Lakisha Anne Bowen, Krystal Joy Brown, Josh Lamon and Gina Milo, who are currently starring in Little Shop of Horrors at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport.
