Fugard (The Road to Mecca, "Master Harold"… and the Boys, Blood Knot), Jones (Fences, The Great White Hope, The Best Man) and Martins (Song and Dance, On Your Toes) will receive honorary doctor of fine arts degrees.
Also honored will be singer Wilson and musicologist William Christie with honorary doctor of music degrees; and Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith, Pulitzer Prize-winning authors of "Van Gogh: The Life, and Jackson Pollack: An American Saga," with honorary doctor of humane letters degrees.
Juilliard president Joseph W. Polisi will read special citations and present the degrees. The ceremony will be streamed live at http://ww.juilliard.edu/live.
Fugard will also deliver the commencement address at 11 AM in Alice Tully Hall where Juilliard will present 277 (127 undergraduate and 150 graduate) degrees to its actors, dancers, playwrights, and jazz, opera and classical instrumental musicians.
