Performances begin February 5 for the Signature Theatre's revival of Athol Fugard’s Boesman and Lena, directed by Yaël Farber. Leading the cast in the title roles are Sahr Ngaujah (Broadway's upcoming Moulin Rouge!) as Boesman and Zainab Jah (Eclipsed, Signature’s Venus) as Lena.

Thomas Silcott (Luke Cage) completes the cast as Old African, the stranger encountered by an abusive husband and his long-suffering wife as they wander the South African wastelands.

Boesman and Lena is playing in the Signature's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center. The production will officially open February 25 and is scheduled through March 17.

The creative team includes scenic and costume designer Susan Hilferty, lighting designer Amith Chandrashaker, sound designer Matt Hubbs, fight director UnkleDave’s Fight-House, and dialect coach Barbara Rubin.

The production stage manager is Cherie B. Tay, and casting is by Caparelliotis Casting.
