After hosting a spate of television and film stars, Off-Broadway's The Vagina Monologues will welcome a trio of talents with solid legit credits. Jayne Atkinson, Charlotte Rae and Alice Ripley will begin a six-week run in the play on Aug. 20. Their final performance is Sept. 29.

Ripley's many Broadway credits include Sunset Boulevard, The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead and Side Show. Atkinson, primarily known for her work in dramas, has been seen in Ivanov at Lincoln Center Theater and The Rainmaker on Broadway. Rae's theatre credits stretch back to Li'l Abner in 1956 and The Beauty Part in 1962.

Sherri Parker Lee, Peggy Lipton and Sonia Manzano will continue in The Vagina Monologues until Aug. 18. They began their run on July 9.

Lee is best known to New York theatregoers as the sole female lead in the Tennessee Williams' prison drama Not About Nightingales. Lipton made her name as a cool, youthful crime-buster in the '60s series "The Mod Squad." A couple decades later, she scored again with David Lynch's cryptic TV program "Twin Peaks." Finally, with The Vagina Monologues, Monzano will get to talk about some things she doesn't get to while working her regular acting gig—as Maria on "Sesame Street," a part she's played for 30 years. *
