Atticus Finch once advised that you never really know a person until you walk around in his shoes for awhile. Well, how would you like to wear Elton John's shoes? Or Glenn Close's boots? Or Kelly McGillis' loafers?

Tonight, Sept. 29, you could get the chance -- if you head over to the Atlanta Coalition of Theatre's "Really Big Shoe!" benefit, 5:30 PM at the Fox Theatre. The event features a live and silent auction, featuring "famous footwear from all walks of life." Proceeds benefit ACT and members of Atlanta's theatre & dance community.

Tickets to the benefit are $45 and include a cocktail buffet. For more information call (404) 873-1185.

Other notables donating their footwear include Sarah Jessica Parker, Steve Martin, Dixie Carter (15 pair!), Anthony Rapp, Christopher Durang, James Earl Jones, Debbie Allen and Eric Bogosian. Non-theatre folks offering their footwear include Muhammad Ali, Jewel, Tina Turner, Clint Eastwood and Whitman Mayo.
