Previews begin April 30. Henry Wishcamper directs the production. It plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through June 22 (representing a one-week extension since its first announcement) at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater in Chelsea.

Norton is currently a 2008 Tony Award nominee for his work in the now-closed Broadway production of McPherson's The Seafarer.

"Set against the backdrop of contemporary Dublin, Port Authority weaves the stories of three generations of Irishmen as they experience loss, failure and the elusiveness of love as Conor McPherson (The Seafarer, Shining City, The Weir) exposes the heart of the common man with his customary wit and compassion," according to Atlantic.

Olivier Award-winning playwright McPherson's The Seafarer starring Jim Norton ended its Broadway run March 30 at the Booth Theatre. Norton won an Obie Award for his performance in McPherson's Dublin Carol at Atlantic. For the West End run of The Seafarer, he won a 2007 Oliver Award. James is a Tony Award nominee for Sweet Smell of Success, and recently completed a run of the musical Next to Normal at Second Stage. He'll play the title role in the upcoming Broadway musical, Shrek. He was featured in Atlantic's The Lieutenant of Inishmore.

Gallagher won his Best Featured Actor Tony for his work in Spring Awakening. He created the role of Moritz in the Atlantic run of the musical, later moving with it to Broadway. He appeared in the Broadway production of Rabbit Hole.

Port Authority marks the return of Tony Award-nominated playwright McPherson to Atlantic, where his play Dublin Carol received an award- winning American premiere production.

Wishcamper has served as assistant director on the Broadway productions of August: Osage County and McPherson's Shining City. His recent directing credits include Horton Foote's Talking Pictures at The Goodman Theatre and the New York premiere of Jane Martin's Flags.

The design team for Port Authority includes scenic designer Takeshi Kata, costume designer Jenny Mannis, lighting designer Matthew Richards and sound designer Bart Fasbender.

Atlantic Theater Company at the Linda Gross Theater is at 336 W. 20th Street.
