News Audiences Invited to L.A.'s Intimate Spaces, July 16 LOS ANGELES -- An evening of six short plays, Bars and Grills and Other Intimate Spaces, will run 8 PM July 16 and 23 at the Santa Monica Playhouse's main stage.

LOS ANGELES -- An evening of six short plays, Bars and Grills and Other Intimate Spaces, will run 8 PM July 16 and 23 at the Santa Monica Playhouse's main stage.

Scott Davison and Michael C. Ford wrote the evening of theatre. Davison will direct his plays The Sadness of Wine, Bonfire at Sticks and No Way Home. Ford wrote The Wig, directed by Chris Allport; Blondes Don't Bother to Knock (a dialog between Raymond Chandler and Marilyn Monroe), directed by Syndey Thornbury; and Bad Night at the Bomb Shelter Bar and Grill, directed by Aram Saroyan, son of William Saroyan.

Davison is the dramaturg for Circle West, an offshoot of New York's Circle Rep. Susan R. Rodgers is producing the show.

The Santa Monica Playhouse is at 1211 Fourth St. There will be a $5 donation at the door. For information, call (310) 842-9561.
