Members of Team StarKid (A Very Potter Musical) teamed up with production company Stacks of Wax to create an album of pop covers featuring songs from the latest StarKid-affiliated production, an Aladdin parody called Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier, which completed a sold-out run in Chicago this summer.
Members from the production blogged exclusively for Playbill.com this summer. Click here for the first blog from lyricist Kaley McMahon, here for the second blog from new company member Robert Manion and here for the third blog from actor Dylan Saunders.
According to StarKid, the album "includes four reimagined songs from the score — a pop-punk version of the Princess's big solo, an a cappella jazz arrangement of one of the show's big group numbers, plus '90s-style lush R&B takes on the show's two love ballads (think Peabo Bryson's 'A Whole New World')."

The EP is rounded out with the original piano/vocal demos of four songs from the show by the musical's composer, A.J. Holmes, who is currently playing Elder Cunningham in the national tour of The Book of Mormon.
