Co-directed by Roger T. Danforth and Tony Award winner Cady Huffman, the Musical Celebration will feature performances from the previously reported Laura Benanti, Liz Callaway, Donna Murphy, Anika Noni Rose and Michael Urie. Newly announced for the evening are Audra McDonald, Michael Cerveris, Scott Wittman & Marc Shaiman, Boyd Gaines, Christopher Sieber, Nick Adams, Will Chase, Chad Kimball, Emily Skinner, Justin Guarini and James Monroe Inglehart, plus an appearance from LuPone’s “Life Goes On” co-star, Chris Burke.

"Patti LuPone is one of the most talented, versatile, dedicated and passionate actors working in the theater today,” said Drama League Board Member Donna Murphy in a statement. "She is a true force of nature; a fierce survivor who has willed things to happen in her life and career when things didn't easily fall into place. Personally, she inspired me early on with her undeniable soaring talent; and still inspires me on that level, but that is now compounded by my coming to know her incredible strength of character. Her unending commitment and love for the theatre has made her a legend in her own time, and the Drama League is excited to celebrate her remarkable career."

The show will include performances highlighting LuPone’s stage career.

The evening will begin at 7 PM with a cocktail reception and silent auction/raffle in the Cotillion Room, followed by a seated dinner at 8 PM in the Grand Ballroom, followed by the performance.

All proceeds support The Drama League Directors Project. Now entering its 27th year, this program is the nation’s premier training program for theatre directors, with more than 237 active alumni working around the world.
