News Audra McDonald to Perform Solo Concert at NJPAC April 20 Four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will join the New Jersey Symphony Chamber Orchestra for an April 20 concert at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

McDonald (Ragtime, Carousel, Master Class) is currently starring as Bess in the Broadway revival of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, which opened Jan. 12 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre and is playing an extended run through Sept. 30.

Understudy Alicia Moran Hall will perform the role of Bess for the April 20 performance of Porgy and Bess.

McDonald's one-night-only concert at 8 PM in Newark, NJ, promises songs by Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Frank Loesser, Lerner and Loewe, Stephen Sondheim and more. Andy Einhorn will conduct.
