Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will headline the Round House Theatre’s Broadway in Bethesda 2019 gala on April 6 at The Hamilton Live, in Washington, D.C. The 8 PM concert serves as a benefit for the Round House Theatre, located in Bethesda, Maryland.

The evening is McDonald’s final scheduled concert appearance this spring ahead of her Broadway return in Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, which begins previews May 4 at the Broadhurst Theatre. McDonald co-stars with two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon in the revival directed by Obie winner Arin Arbus. The production officially opens May 30.

McDonald has also just been announced to headline Playbill’s Broadway on the Mediterranean August 2020 cruise alongside Tony nominee Will Swenson, and fellow Tony winners Gavin Creel and Lindsay Mendez.
