Having won a 2014 Tony Award for her performance as singer Billie Holiday in the Broadway show Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, Audra McDonald is preparing to honor another great jazz performer, Ella Fitzgerald, in an April 26 concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York.

Ella at 100: Forever The First Lady of Song will feature the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performing with McDonald and a roster of guests including Wynton Marsalis, Renée Fleming, Sullivan Fortner, Roberta Gambarini, Diana Krall, Alison Krauss, Marilyn Maye, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Camille Thurman, and Kenny Washington. Harry Connick Jr. will host.

The 7PM concert will be held at Frederick P. Rose Hall, located at Broadway at 60th Street in Manhattan. A limited number of concert-only tickets are being sold at $150 and $200 and can be purchased on jazz.org or by calling (212) 721-6500. Gala tickets begin at $1,500 and table prices begin at $35,000. Gala tickets can be ordered at (212) 245-6570 or jalc@eventassociatesinc.com.

A six-time Tony winner, McDonald wrapped up a four-night concert appearance at London's Leicester Square Theatre on April 15. She will return to the U.S. for a series of appearances across the country before returning to the U.K. in June for the West End premiere of Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. The show had been scheduled for London in summer 2016, but was postponed due to her pregnancy.
