News Austin Lysy to Star in Public's Midsummer Night's Dream Austin Lysy will be part of the upcoming Shakespeare in the Park presentation of A Midsummer Night's Dream presented by the Public Theater.

A spokesperson for the actor confirmed Lysy will play Lysander in the production, which will run Aug. 7-Sept. 9; further casting is currently underway. Daniel Sullivan (Rabbit Hole, Proof) will direct.

No stranger to the Bard's work, Lysy was previously seen on Broadway in the short-lived 2000 production of Macbeth starring Kelsey Grammer. Lysy's theatrical credits also include Hobson's Choice with the Atlantic Theater Company, The Water's Edge with Second Stage Theatre and New York Theatre Workshop's All That I Will Ever Be.

Lauren Ambrose, Oscar Isaac and Camryn Manheim currently star in Shakespeare in the Park's Romeo and Juliet under the direction of 2007 Tony Award nominee Michael Grief, running through July 8. The official opening is June 24.

Performances of Shakespeare in the Park are Tuesday through Sunday at 8 PM. Tickets are free and are available on the day of the performance (two per person) at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park beginning at 1 PM and at The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette Street (near Astor Place), from 1-3 PM. The closest entrances to the Delacorte are at 81st Street and Central Park West or 70th Street and Fifth Avenue.
