The one-night-only concert features the talents of Becca Ayers (South Pacific, Avenue Q), James Donegan (Forbidden Broadway), David Perlman (Calvin Berger), Amy Rutberg (The Jazz Age, HBO's "Recount") and Joanna Young (The Drowsy Chaperone, Grease). Show time is 7:30 PM.
Carlos Armesto directs the evening with musical direction by Brian Cimmet.
7-Year B*tch, according to the York, is a "wickedly funny and bitterly heartfelt concert featuring the songs of Dan Acquisto and Sammy Buck, everyone's favorite second choice for Broadway, off-Broadway, film and TV jobs. Sammy and Dan give you their tell-all and show you what it's like to persevere, while five very talented performers sing songs about misadventures in love and work, and never winning a certain performing arts foundation grant each year."
In a statement York artistic director James Morgan said, "The concept for this new series came out of York's NEO Benefit Concerts — which celebrate New, Emerging and Outstanding musical theatre writers. We've presented four of these concerts since 2003 — and we wanted to find a way to expand on that idea, providing a forum for songwriters to present works in progress, songs they have in their trunks or songs from shows that haven't gotten the attention they deserve."
