In addition to singing actress Arnaz, the cast also boasts Broadway's Raul Esparza and Valarie Pettiford as well as dancers Jeanette Delgado and Richard Amaro with special guest Desi Arnaz, Jr.

Arnaz also directed the production, which features musical direction by Ron Abel and choreography by Ramon del Barrio.

"It's show time at the Tropicana!," according to press notes. "Hear Desi Arnaz’s greatest hits, including the hip-swiveling 'Cuban Pete,' his signature conga 'Babalu,' and the beloved theme from 'I Love Lucy,' plus some of the greatest Latin and Broadway hits in this one-of-a-kind tribute to the most glamorous music of the '40s and '50s. Babalu, featuring a 16-piece orchestra, is not only Lucie Arnaz's loving tribute to her father, but also a chance to celebrate Desi Arnaz's extraordinary musical legacy and the major role he played in planting the first seeds of the Latin music explosion in this country."

Arnaz told the Miami Herald she hopes Babalu will have a life on the road and/or in New York.
