News Baby Jane Dexter, Sarah Rice, Steve Ross Set for Calling All Angels 2 Benefit Performances Calling All Angels 2, two evenings of benefit cabaret performances featuring performers from the worlds of cabaret and musical theatre, will be presented Aug. 13 and 20 at 7 PM at the Metropolitan Room at Gotham.

The Aug. 13 performance will feature Nate Birkey, Baby Jane Dexter, Natalie Douglas, Rob Langeder, Audrey Lavine, Dana Lorge, Jose Luis, Richard Malavet, Mark Nadler, Anthony & Will Nunziata, Sarah Rice, Michael Sansonia, Marcus Simeone and Frank Torren.

The Aug. 20 concert will offer Scott Albertson, Esther Beckman, Jill Cohen, Baby Jane Dexter, Maria Gentile, Sue Matsuki, Marieann Meringolo, Sidney Myer, David Pellegrene, Miles Phillips, Caress Ricardo, Steve Ross and Marcus Simeone.

John Hoglund and Sue Matsiki, who are presenting the evenings, will also host. Barry Levitt will serve as musical director.

These performances follow a similar event in April at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The performances are intended to raise money for the medical care of former MAC Board of Directors member and graphic artist Gregory Kennell, who is still recovering from an illness he suffered last November that left him in a coma for two months and continues to affect his quality of daily life.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West Gotham Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues. There is a $20 donation and a two-drink minimum. For reservations call (212) 206-0440. *
