The evening, which benefits the Drama League Directors Project, will be held Jan. 31 at the Pierre Hotel. Among the stars scheduled to perform the works of Comden and Green are Lauren Bacall, Victoria Clark, Lea DeLaria, Nancy Dussault, Melissa Errico, Kitty Carlisle Hart, Cady Huffman, Marc Kudisch, Donna McKechnie, Donna Murphy and Mary Testa. The concert begins at 9:30 PM. With her late writing partner Adolph Green, Betty Comden has written the book and/or lyrics for On the Town; Bells Are Ringing; On the Twentieth Century; Wonderful Town; Hallelujah, Baby!; Applause; Peter Pan; A Doll's Life; Do Re Mi and The Will Rogers Follies. Comden and Green’s films include "Singin’ in the Rain" and "The Band Wagon," and they were both awarded the Kennedy Center Honors in 1991.

The Drama League Directors Project trains theatre directors of the future.
