News Back2Broadway Month in September Will Feature Free Concerts and Other Special Events The second annual Back2Broadway Month will kick off Sept. 12 with the free annual Broadway on Broadway concert in Times Square. The month will include other free concerts, special interactive activities, the annual Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction, and other events to celebrate the Broadway community and its new season.

The month is a program of The Broadway League, presented by The New York Times with additional support from Audience Rewards, 
Clear Channel Spectacolor, SIRIUS XM Radio and
Times Square Alliance.

A listing and description of some of the major events of the month follow:

Broadway on Broadway free concert
Sept. 12 at 11:30 AM
Times Square
"This free outdoor concert in the heart of Times Square kicks off the new Broadway season with star performances from new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 30-piece orchestra." Visit broadwayonbroadwday.com for details.

Broadway Salutes
Sept. 14, 4 PM
Duffy Square
"Second annual public celebration presented by The Broadway League and the Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) honoring the myriad of artists who have made Broadway great for decades – with special recognition for those who have worked 25, 35, and 50 years in their respective theatrical craft."
