Bacon to Produce "The Booths" for Showtime

News   Bacon to Produce "The Booths" for Showtime Kevin Bacon will executive produce a new historical series for Showtime based on the family of John Wilkes Booth.

Variety reports that the "The Booths" will revolve around the 1800's show business siblings of Edwin, Junius Brutus Jr. and John Wilkes Booth in the years leading to the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. A writer and cast for "The Booths" have not been announced for the series, which is still in early development.

Bacon's extensive film credits include the forthcoming Ron Howard-directed "Frost/Nixon," as well as "Mystic River," "The River Wild" and "Footloose." He has appeared on Broadway in Slab Boys and An Almost Holy Picture.
