Classic Arts News Baltimore SO Launches New 'Composers In Conversation' The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will begin next month a live discussion series called "Composers in Conversation," featuring eleven composers whose works the orchestra will perform in its upcoming season.
Offering unique insight, each composer will participate in a talk preceding a concert program of his or her work(s) moderated by recently appointed music director Marin Alsop or Dale Keiger, a senior writer for the Johns Hopkins Magazine.

"Composers in Conversation," held on Wednesday evenings at the Theatre Project in Baltimore, starts on September 26 with John Adams and concludes on June 18 with Joan Tower.

Also speaking are during the season will be Thomas Ad_s, John Corigliano, Tan Dun, HK Gruber, Aaron Jay Kernis, Steven Mackey, James MacMillan, Mark O'Connor and Christopher Rouse. Visit www.baltimoresymphony.org for tickets and further information.
