News BAM 24 Hour Movie Marathon Will Screen "American in Paris" to Raise Funds for Education Sept. 5 The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) has announced its first-ever BAM 24-Hour Movie Marathon benefiting BAM Education beginning at 8 PM on Sept. 5 at the Steinberg Screen at the BAM Harvey Theater.

The evening is billed as a, "peer-to-peer fundraiser, inspired by traditional athletic fundraisers, challenging participants to binge watch classic and modern film favorites for a full 24 hours." New York Magazine partners in the event, which will raise funds for BAM Education's after school initiatives and acclaimed programming. Film such as "Clueless," "Dazed and Confused," "Jurassic Park," and "An American in Paris" will be screened, and special guests including Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actress Taylor Schilling ("Orange Is the New Black") and more will make appearances throughout the event to lend their support and introduce the films.

Donations are currently being accepted and will continue to be accepted through Oct. 5.
