The work, which will play the Harvey Theatre through Sept. 20, is described as "a meditation on love. . . Performing a series of vignettes before a free-standing high wall of shifting colors, Khan and Binoche explore the intricacies of a love affair in all its glory and pain. In-I takes both artists in new directions: for Binoche, dancing on stage; and for Khan, acting for the first time since his childhood role in Peter Brook's Mahabharata." The BAM engagement marks the last performances of In-I, which premiered at London's National Theatre in September 2008.
The production features set design by Anish Kapoor, lighting design by Michael Hulls, music by Philip Sheppard, costume design by Alber Elbaz and Kei Ito and sound design by Nicolas Faure.
