Open At The Top Productions, in association with Joel Murray, presents the world premiere production at The NoHo Arts Center. Previews begin May 26, with performances continuing to July 24. The musical is based on the 1945 novel by R. A. Dick, about "a headstrong young widow who moves into a seaside cottage with her two children and maid, only to discover that the house is haunted by the ghost of its previous owner, a hot-blooded sea captain named Daniel Gregg."

Written and directed by James J. Mellon, with music and lyrics by Scott DeTurk and Bill Francoeur, The Ghost & Mrs. Muir marks the reteaming of Mellon and DeTurk, creators of the musical Dorian.

Barbour is known for Broadway's Urinetown, Assassins, Jane Eyre and Beauty and the Beast. He stars in the new film, "Alchemy." Wintersteller was a Drama Desk Best Actress nominee for Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever and appeared in Broadway's A Grand Night for Singing). The cast also includes Brooks Almy (Grand Hotel, Beauty and the Beast on Broadway) and Kevin Bailey (The Lion King, Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway), with Zachary Green (young Cyril) and Karli Blalock (young Anna), Doug Carefrae, Paul Denniston, Kate Fuglei, Harmony Goodman, Katherine McPhee, Barbara Oltman, Blake Pullen and Anna Stone. Alternates (young Cyril and young Anna) are Sterling Beaumon and Hayley Delong.

The designers are Craig Siebels (scenic), Jeremy Pivnick (lighting) and Scott A. Lane (costume). Sound design is by Scott DeTurk and Bill Hutson. Associate producer is Susan J. Blyth.

James Mellon (writer/director) also conceived, co-wrote and directed Dorian , the inaugural production at the NoHo Arts Center (October 2004). His original musical, An Unfinished Song (at Tiffany Theatre) received an L.A. Weekly nomination for Best Musical. Joel Murray (co-producer) was a renowned trial attorney and corporate CEO until launching Joel Murray Productions. In 1992 he co-produced the acclaimed Stardust (starring Toni Tennille, Hinton Battle and Sean Young) at L.A.'s Wilshire Theatre.

The performance schedule for The Ghost & Mrs. Muir is Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 8 PM, Sunday at 3 PM. Tickets are $25-$35. For reservations, call (818) 508-7101, ext. 5.
