News Barrett, Graae and Blackhurst Part of Cabaret Convention at Sea The Mabel Mercer Foundation will celebrate its 20th anniversary by offering cabaret lovers the first-ever Cabaret Convention at Sea.

From March 17 to March 24, 2005, the high-seas Convention will take place on board the Crystal Cruises Symphony. Among those scheduled to entertain the 940 guests are Grand Hotel's Brent Barrett, Falsettos' Jason Graae, Ethel Merman aficionado Klea Blackhurst and two-time Grammy winning vocalist Sylvia McNair. The cruise is scheduled to depart March 17, 2005, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, making its first stop in Ochos Rios, Jamaica on March 19. Additional stops include the Cayman Islands' George Town (March 20); Cozumel, Mexico (March 21); and Key West, FL (March 23). The luxury liner will return to Fort Lauderdale March 24.

Co-sponsored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation and CruiseGourmet.com, the trip will also feature culinary demonstrations and tastings, dancing and nightly entertainment. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Mercer Foundation, whose mission is "to perpetuate the American Popular Song through the art of cabaret."
