News Barrington to Offer Productions of Guys and Dolls and The Game in Summer 2011 Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA, will present the classic Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls and a new production of The Game as part of its summer 2011 Mainstage Season.

Guys and Dolls, The Musical Fable of Broadway will play the Massachusetts venue June 22-July 16 with an official opening scheduled for June 26. Casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

The Game, a musical based on the 18th-century scandalous novel "Les Liaisons Dangereuses," will run Aug. 11-29. The musical, which originally made its world premiere at the Barrington in 2003, will be directed by artistic director Julianne Boyd.

The Game features a musical score by Megan Cavallari and book and lyrics by Amy Powers and David Topchik.

"Of all of the musicals we have done in our 16-year history, The Game has been the one most requested by our patrons to revive," said Boyd in a statement. The Game also marked the first world premiere musical produced at Barrington Stage."

A second Mainstage show, Stage 2 and Musical Theatre Lab season will be announced by January. For more information visit www.barringtonstageco.org.
