Barry Pearl (Oliver) stars as Lenny Bruce in the showcase production of the new one man show, Lenny's Back, April 11-12 at Studio 54.

Based on extensive interviews with Bruce's friends and his mother, Sally Marr, Lenny's Back lets Bruce look back on his life and his legacy from his grave site. In his comic ruminations, he talks about the mysteries of his past and his thoughts on the lives of people today.

Pearl appeared on Broadway in Oliver, Bye Bye Birdie and Grease. Other credits include TV stints on "ER" and "Days of Our Lives" and film roles in "Grease" and "My Favorite Martian."

Sam Bobrick and Julie Stein wrote the piece. Bobrick, a playwright, has authored the comedies Hamlet II (better than the original) and Murder at the Howard Johnsons as well as winning three Writers Guild Awards for television. A former stand up comic, Stein has worked both as a producer and research director for TV documentaries.

Bill Persky and Richard Hadar are producing Lenny's Back. Darren Press is co-producer. Admission to the showcase is complimentary, but there will be a two drink minimum. The show begins at 8:30 PM. For reservations, call (212) 564-6367. Studio 54 is located at 254 W. 54th Street.
