Classic Arts Features Basil Twist to Discuss Wonderboy at Joyce SoHo April 6 In preparation for the upcoming New York premiere of Basil Twist and the Joe Goode Performance Group's Wonderboy, Twist will participate in a free Dance Talks event at Joyce SoHo April 6.

The event - scheduled to take place 6 to 8 PM at the downtown venue - will include a conversation between artist and audience, dance videos and movement demonstrations.

Press notes describe Wonderboy: "In this new collaboration with puppeteer Basil Twist, Joe Goode integrates yet another art form into his innovative cross-disciplinary work. The enormous humanity and sensitivity embodied in Twist's magical, funny and unnerving creations attracted Goode to the world of puppetry. With Wonderboy, the choreographer tells the semi-autobiographical tale of a peculiar hero isolated by his gift of sensitivity. Featuring original music by Carla Kihlstedt and Matthias Bossi, Wonderboy is a unique blend of disciplines, building on the acclaimed JGPG method of storytelling through text, song and dance."

Dance Talks with Basil Twist will take place on Monday, April 6 from 6 to 8 PM at Joyce SoHo (155 Mercer Street, between Houston and Prince).

Admission is free, however reservations are required, and can be made by calling (646)792-8377. For more information, visit www.Joyce.org.
