The annual fundraising gala of the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, Long Island, held July 10, brought in over $500,000, breaking all past records for the event. As in past years, Rosie O'Donnell hosted. The evening's auction alone raised approximately $200,000. Among the items on the block were jewelry from Harry Winston; a Caribbean cruise; vacations to Ireland, St. Barts and the Dominican Republic; Super Bowl tickets; a walk-on in the musical Saturday Night Fever; and Sag Harbor resident Elaine Steinbeck's personal copy of her husband's "Sweet Tuesday."
Bay Street's current production is Frank McGuinness' The Factory Girls, running through Aug. 1.
