Bayview Records continues its "Broadway By the Year" CD series with "The Broadway Musicals of 1953," scheduled for release March 12.

The new recording — taped live at New York's Town Hall on May 12, 2003 — features songs from such musicals as Can-Can, Kismet, Wonderful Town, Hazel Flagg and Me and Juliet as well as first-time recordings from Carnival in Flanders, Maggie and John Murray Anderson's Almanac. A host of performers from the worlds of Broadway and cabaret took part in the Town Hall evening, including Davis Gaines, Andrea Burns, Julia Murney, Ed Staudenmayer, Scott Coulter and Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte. Scott Siegel hosted the event, which featured Ross Patterson and his Little Big Band. The complete track listing for the new CD follows:
