News BBC Television to Broadcast Vincent in Brixton March 23 Hot on the news that BBC1 is to promote more arts programs, comes the screening of Nicholas Wright's award-winning play Vincent in Brixton.

The play, which won rave reviews at the National Theatre and then at Wyndham's, was broadcast on BBC4 on March 20, and is to be repeated on that channel March 23 at 10:20 PM.

A moving story (though with plenty of humor), Vincent in Brixton tells of the young Vincent's effect on the household in which he becomes a lodger while working in Victorian London. At the center of the play is his relationship with his landlady, a depressed middle-aged woman, played by Claire Higgins (who won an Olivier for the role).

Vincent in Brixton is currently playing Broadway’s Golden Theatre.
