Victoria, British Columbia’s Belfry Theatre brings back its hit musical revue, Come Rain or Come Shine, beginning previews Aug. 8.

Originally created in 1989 by Don Shipley, Come Rain Or Come Shine features the music of Harold Arlen. Arlen composed such musicals as Bloomer Girl, St. Louis Woman, House of Flowers, Jamaica and Saratoga. His collaborators included E.Y. Harburg, Johnny Mercer and Ira Gershwin.

Come Rain Or Come Shine will again be directed by Allen MacInnis and will star original cast members Louise Rose, Sylvie Peron and Colleen Winton. Denis Simpson rounds out the cast. Winton is also the choreographer, and Rose returns on the piano as well. James Young will provide accompaniment on bass, with Gordon Clements on sax and clarinet.
