“Beautiful Eyes” features Ripley on lead vocals and guitar, Christopher Schelling on keyboards and Shannon Ford on drums and percussion.
“Making music has saved my life,” Ripley said in a statement. “With any luck, ‘Beautiful Eyes’ will do the same for RIPLEY fans and new listeners alike. ‘Why won't you answer the musical question? / Where did you get those Beautiful Eyes?’ the chorus of the song asks, and then the verse spins out a story. The lyrics are mysterious, but one thing’s for sure: it sounds like a really fun party.”
A music video for “Beautiful Eyes” has been shot by director John Carucci and will be online in March.
“Beautiful Eyes” is the first original song of Ripley’s since the 2006 release of her band’s album "Outtasite," and follows her February 2011 cover set, "Daily Practice."
Ripley's other recordings can be purchased by visiting The Playbill Store.
