News Beauty and the Beast Tony Nominee Susan Egan Plays 54 Below April 15 Tony nominee Susan Egan brings her critically acclaimed one-woman show, Susan Egan: The Belle of Broadway, to 54 Below April 15 at 9:30 PM. An encore performance is scheduled for April 18 at 11 PM.

Egan's appearance coincides with the 20th anniversary of her Broadway debut in Beauty and the Beast, for which she was nominated for Tony and Drama Desk awards.

The singing actress is joined on stage by longtime musical director Christopher McGovern on piano as well as Sean Harkness on guitar and Danny Weller on bass. She also welcomes two co-stars from the original Broadway company of Beauty and the Beast, who will sing and share backstage stories: “Gaston” Burke Moses (April 15 and 18) and “Mrs. Potts” Beth Fowler (April 15).

"Throughout the evening," press notes state, "Susan takes you on a journey from Belle to beyond, with hilarious personal anecdotes and magnificent music by classic Broadway composers as well as songs from today’s hottest new writers."
