Bebe Neuwirth has wrapped up a three-year stint as Nadine Tolliver in the CBS drama Madam Secretary. In the Tony winner’s final episode, her character—Secretary McCord’s Chief of Staff—announced she would be taking leave to be closer to her family (though it was suspected she may not return).
Neuwirth has been with the show since its launch in 2014. After her final episode aired October 22, the actor took to Twitter to announce that she was, indeed, leaving Madam Secretary for good.
Neuwirth starred in Madam Secretary alongside fellow Tony winner Patina Miller, Téa Leoni, and Tim Daly, among others. Alongside numerous on-screen roles, she is a two-time Tony winner (Chicago and Sweet Charity) with a Broadway career that spans decades. Her other Broadway credits include The Addams Family, Fosse, Damn Yankees, and A Chorus Line.
