Bebe Neuwirth, Tony Sheldon, Brenda Braxton, and Dale Soules ares scheduled to take part in Villain: DeBlanks, a May 31 comedy show to benefit the American Civil Liberties Union, a follow-up to a sold-out March performance designed to aid the organization that works to protect rights and liberties guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and other U.S. laws.
The one-night-only event at Feinstein’s/54 Below cabaret in Manhattan will feature performances by two-time Tony winner and two-time Emmy winner Bebe Neuwirth (Madam Secretary, Chicago); Tony nominees Brenda Braxton (Chicago, Smash), Tony Sheldon (Amélie, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert); actor Dale Soules (Hands on a Hardbody, Orange Is the New Black, The Magic Show); cabaret artist Ben Rimalower (Patti Issues, Bad With Money); and comedian Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie).
Described by creator Billy Mitchell as “Clue meets adult Mad Libs,” Villain: DeBlanks asks the audience to provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. to tell the story of Philip DeBlanks’ untimely demise. The performers act out the resulting script.
