The reading presentations, which are open to the public, feature the talents of Celina Carvajal as tormented exterminator Carly, Brian Charles Rooney as Canadian chanteuse Dionne Salon, Chris Hall as rock-god Cimex, Eric Anderson as Dexter, Jeff Hiller as newsman Tom Wansett, Donna Vivino as Mother, Michael Zahler as Burt and Stephen Sheffer as Chad the hipster.

The new musical was penned by Paul Leschen and Fred Sauter and features direction by Samuel Buggeln.

Bedbugs!!!, according to press notes, "tells the story of Carly, a passionate exterminator who, hell-bent on avenging her mother's freak death, accidentally mutates NYC bedbugs into bloodthirsty killer hair metal rock gods. Sweet sidekick Burt has a plan, and troubled Canadian chanteuse Dionne Salon has stumbled onto the scene. But will Carly listen to them and save NYC — or be seduced by her own creation?"
