Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie directs the production that Arianda refers to as "the ultimate battle of the sexes," set to begin previews Oct. 13, prior to an official opening Nov. 8. Here, the show's stars and director discuss the upcoming production at the recent Venus in Fur photo shoot.
In Venus, "Vanda (Arianda) is a preternaturally talented young actress determined to land the lead in Thomas’ (Dancy) new play based on the classic erotic novel, 'Venus in Fur,'" according to press notes. "Her emotionally charged audition for the gifted but demanding playwright/director becomes an electrifying game of cat and mouse blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex."
The production will play a limited ten-week engagement with tickets on sale through Dec. 18 only.
