The Fiddlehead Theatre presents the 1991 biographical musical by Dean Reagan that will play the John Hancock Hall at the Back Bay Events Center April 7-17. Tom Frey (2 Pianos/4 Hands) directs and co-stars as Little Big Man. A Closer Walk is described as "a tribute to Miss Cline's spirit and a celebration of the music of her life. The story follows Patsy Cline's climb to stardom from her hometown in Virginia to the Grand Ole Opry, Las Vegas, and Carnegie Hall. Audiences will fall in love with Patsy all over again, laugh with the comedy of Little Big, the DJ who plays Patsy's biggest fan, and rock to the tunes of the stellar band."

The musical offers highlights from Cline's career, including "Walkin' After Midnight," "Sweet Dreams" and "Crazy."

Beirne, who appeared Off-Broadway in That Time of Year at the York, earned an Elliot Norton Award for her performance in Violet and has also appeared in Boston productions of The Wild Party, Funny Girl, Parade and My Fair Lady. Beirne was also seen in the Goodspeed production of the Christopher McGovern-Amy Powers musical, Lizzie Borden.
