News Bell, Dunkin, Maguire, Sowers, Walsh and More Set for Reading of New Musical POPart The York Theatre Company's Developmental Reading Series will continue March 19 with a free reading of POPart: The Musical.

The reading of the new musical will feature the talents of Monica Bell, Taylor Buice, Amanda Conlon, Ryan Dunkin, Tommy Labanaris, MK Lawson, Erin Maguire, Michael Morch, Natalie Newman, Scott Sowers, Jennifer Swiderski, Molly Walsh and Jamaal Wilson. Show time is 3 PM. POPart features book and lyrics by Daryl Lisa Fazio and music by Aaron McAllister. The musical, according to the York, is described as such: "In this irreverent and campy original musical, we follow the adventures of Kitty Katz as she enrolls in art school and begins a creative journey of sorts. Kitty's 'suburbia-to-ghetto-to-SoHo' story gives glimpses of insanity, inspiration, and acceptance...all on the road to the creation of art."

The reading will be presented at the York's home at The Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th Street, east of Lexington Avenue. Although the reading is free, reservations are required by emailing Jeff Landsman at [email protected] (include name, phone number, the show's title and the number of tickets) or by calling (212) 935-5824, ext. 24.
