Charles Huddleston will direct the film from a screenplay that he adapted with Michele Martin, who will also star in the film as Nora Helmer.
"A Doll's House," which centers on Nora's marriage to her overbearing husband, will be a modern-day adaptation of the Ibsen classic set during today's recession.
Malone has signed on to play Kristine Linde, Kingsley will play Dr. Rank, and Sands will take on a new character, Nathan Gynt.
Huddleston produces and Clay Epstein is executive producer. Principal photography for the film is scheduled to begin in January in Cincinnati.
