Brian Hampton's The Jungle Fun Room plays New World Stages July 31 at 7:30 PM; the evening benefits Long Island Bulldog Rescue.

The performance features playwright Hampton and Carter Calvert (It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues) as well as members of the original 2009 FringeNYC cast, including Kim S. Goldfeder, Trey Mitchell and Beverly Lauchner. Mary Jane Houdina directs. The Jungle Fun Room, according to press notes, "centers around a group of struggling actors who spend their days working children’s birthday parties at the New York City Zoo. When an eager new worker arrives followed by the birthday girl's Oscar-winning Mom, it turns their birthday party hysterically and emotionally upside down."

Long Island Bulldog Rescue is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help English Bulldogs through the northeast and eastern Canada. This benefit is produced by Petco and LIBR.

New World Stages is located in Manhattan at 340 West 50th Street. Tickets for this red-carpet benefit are avaible through Telecharge.com.
