Frog and Peach artistic director Lynnea Benson directs the 80-minute presentation that begins at 7:30 PM. It features a score by King Crimson and Foreigner's Ian McDonald, who will also perform the original music during the performance.
DeMunn ("The Walking Dead") stars as King Lear with Neuwirth (Chicago, The Addams Family) as Goneril and Hammond ("Saturday Night Live") as Edgar.
The cast also includes Rich Sommer ("Mad Men") as Fool, Wrenn Schmidt ("Boardwalk Empire") as Cordelia, Ted Zurkowski ("Boys on the Side") as Edmund, John Rothman ("Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter") as Kent, Peter Gerety ("Public Enemies") as Gloucester, David Wohl ("Saving Private Ryan") as Albany, Amy Frances Quint ("Radio Deluxembourg") as Regan, Eric Doss ("Love Songs") as France, Ryan Tramont ("The Hurt Locker") as Oswald, Erick Gonzalez (Two Gentlemen of Verona) as Cornwall and Jack Sochet (A Midsummer Night's Dream) as Burgundy.
The gala presentation supports the Frog and Peach production of Taming of the Shrew, which will run Oct. 11-Nov. 4 at The West End Theatre.
