As an extension of the play and film, the "I AM Love" Campaign was formed to help combat bullying and homophobia in a peaceful and loving way.
"Corpus Christi: Playing with Redemption" follows the 108 Productions company, who revived Terrence McNally's play Corpus Christi five years ago in a small church in North Hollywood to critical acclaim. "They went on to tour around the world with his unequivocal support as they began to realize the equal rights movement they were being thrust within," according to press notes. "The documentary follows them on tour, along with equal voices of protesters and supporters, to places where bigotry and homophobia are more prevalent. Through the lens of the play we follow the journey on a larger societal exploration of civil rights, gay marriage, gun control and separation of church and state- a journey that became a life-changing experience for cast and audience alike."
