Sibleyras' play Le Vent des Peupliers centers around three "decorated soldiers growing old in a Parisian veterans home set in 1959," according to an announcement for the work that will "mix nostalgia, camaraderie and old war wounds with a bit of curmudgeonry."
The work debuted in London at Wyndham Theatre in October 2005 with Richard Griffiths, John Hurt and Ken Stott in a production directed by Sharrock. It garnered the 2006 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
Benjamin has played on Broadway in The Star Spangled Girl, The Little Black Book and The Norman Conquests Trilogy: Table Manners; Living Together; Round and Round the Garden. For the Geffen he has appeared in All My Sons and Rose and Walsh. On film he has been seen in "Flags of Out Fathers," "Thirteen Days," "About Schmidt" and more. Segal has been seen in Broadway's Gideon, Rattle of a Simple Man, Requiem for a Heavyweight and Art. He is perhaps better known for his film work, which includes "Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?," "St. Valentine’s Day Massacre," "No Way to Treat A Lady," "Where’s Poppa?," "A Touch of Class," "Look Who's Talking," "For the Boys," "Flirting with Disaster," "The Mirror Has Two Faces," "The Heights" and more.
Sharrock directed the current London production of Equus starring Daniel Radcliffe at the Gielgud Theatre. Other credits include Voyage Round My Father, Private Lives, Don Juan, Blithe Spirit and Betrayal. She currently serves as artistic director for The Gate Theatre.
